Caroline turns 5!!

Blog catch up time.
Back in November…my precious Caroline turned 5 years old!! 5!! That sounds crazy and still does 2 months after the fact. How can I have a 5 year old?? We celebrated all week long- at her preschool class, with friends, with our family, and then her big hurrah was a Build-a-Bear party with friends. We had so much fun celebrating our Caroline.

She wanted to go shopping for some new clothes so we had a fun mommy/daughter date shopping followed by dinner at Panera.

Her favorite gift was a new baby doll- Kathryn joined our family since her previous baby doll Allie has pretty much become disabled (she lost both of her arms).

My best attempt at a Build-a-Bear cake!
Such a fun, sweet time.

Caroline at 5 years old:
VERY smart and inquisitive
VERY mature, always our helper
VERY tender hearted, loving
VERY strong
(physically and in every other form of the word)
VERY serious but also silly??
VERY well behaved- a rule follower
The list could go on and on. I used the word VERY in all of her descriptions because whatever Caroline does- she does it 110%. She is so full of life its contagious.

We love you Caroline Grace. We had no idea how much love and life you would bring to our world. You are such a blessing. We are so excited about this year ahead and can't wait to be doing it with our "big" girl.
XOXO

Christmas in the Heights

We love our neighborhood and all the fun that it brings. This past Sunday we got to enjoy all the shops, Christmas goodies, and a ride with Santa in a horse drawn carriage. It was a bit early in the season, but fun regardless. Hannah and Caroline had no problem sitting next to him...Emily had a few reservations about Santa and stuck with me across from him. It was a very pleasant day- high 60's and we were discussing the weather with Santa. Caroline listened to what we were saying and offered her two cents to Santa- "you shouldn't sleep in your big red suit at night or you might get really sweaty." Always considerate, and always worried about being hot. After our ride we walked around to a florist and they were given free roses:)

4,3,2

This is what carving a pumpkin with stair step girls looks like:)
Caroline named hers "Spookally". Emily and Hannah ran off before we finished them and didn't feel obliged to name theirs;)

Fall fun!!

October has flown by! So much fun was packed into one month- it's been fun but no -stop! A trip to Atlanta, a few birthdays, a family trip to Big Cedar Lodge, and Fall festivities/Halloween. Whew. Here are some pictures...

Hannah Baby turns 2!

Sweet Hannah isn't quite a baby anymore. She is a full fledged talking, running, energetic preschooler. Sweet girl has such a perfect place in our family and such fun relationships with each one of us. She adores her daddy, looks up to Caroline for help and assistance, and loves playing silly with Emily. I am so excited to continue to watch her grow and change into the little girl God has designed her to be. We are so very blessed by this 2 year old.

She is full of energy- exactly like her sisters. She loves her sisters, Elmo (Abby in Wonderland is a fave right now), YoGabbaGabba, swinging, wearing everyones shoes, wearing her sisters swimsuits all day long, playing tickle monster, sucking her 2 fingers...with a finger in the nose sometimes, Sesame look and find books, milk, everykind of fruit and most veggies- but not much meat, dancing with her daddy in the evenings, driving daddys car, and snuggling with her mommy. She really wants to be able to hold up 2 fingers as she tells us she is 2 years old. She is getting there.

Some stats: She is in size 6 diapers- although she is starting to want to potty. We've had a few potty successes, but I'm honestly not ready yet. She wears size 9 shoes, 3T clothes, and is very tall for a 2 year old. We go for her 2 year well child check up next week and we will find out her weight/height percentiles.

We love you sweet baby girl. Crazy how quickly time is flying. No more babies in this house. An odd feeling, but of so sweet. Let the fun continue!!
