Sawyer Andrew Seaver

Cara, Chris, and Charlie welcomed their 2nd precious baby boy into the world June 13th! We were so excited about gaining our 2d boy cousin...the girls and i packed up and headed to meet him about 2 weeks after he was born. Brad actually got to meet him as he was flying in and out for a weekend interview. Absolute perfection !! We visited w their family, I stayed and helped Cara, and then we took Charlie to my parents house for a few days. It was such a fun time:)

Sweet September Days

Football season is here!!
Long days at the park...

Hannah 1.10

Hannah banana is just 2 months shy of turning 2!! And boy are we starting to realize it:) Sweet little love is as feisty as her red headed sisters and keeps up with them like nobodies business. Hannah is the life of the party and loves to laugh and giggle. She loves to cuddle with her blankets and carries her 3 lovies everywhere she goes. She has started putting words/phrases together...all of which EVERY2 year old needs to know...MINE! I don't want to! more! let me see! snack!...all said with a high energy level. She insisted on moving her car seat to the back row with the 2 big sisters so they are all packed in side by side. She is only a few months from her 2nd birthday and I cannot believe how my baby has turned into a big girl now. I must admit- it is very refreshing to know that the infant stage is behind us and that we can start getting down and dirty with "big" girls in tow. Our lives and schedules are finally free of all the naps (we are down to all 3 girls just taking one at the same time), feedings, and ALMOST done with diapers. Life in the Hobbs house is changing as we know it. And we are excited. We can't wait to come out of our "Baby Haze" and start finding our normal with our 3 girls...because lets be honest, its been a wild 4.5 years!!
Hannah likes:
her sisters!! she plays school, babies, blocks, and everything else with them.
cows- just like Emily did when she was 2:)
elmo
swinging on the big girl swing- but only daddy or mommy can push her- not sisters.
attempting to play ipad by herself like the bigs do
dressing herself in her sisters clothes, shoes, panties
brushing her teeth by HERSELF, doesn't love it when mommy and daddy do it
eating- but very picky. pizza is her favorite with spaghetti a close 2nd. she still drinks milk as her primary drink and loves it
dancing! she has rhythm and moves her hips like nothing I have ever seen before:)
getting filthy dirty.

Stats:
she is very tall!! everyone thinks she is well into her 2's- almost as tall as middle sister
wears size 2t-3t clothes
size 8 shoe
size 5 diapers
we will know more details at her 2yr check up:)

Dear Hannah,
You are our precious baby. The amount of energy you constantly put forth in order to keep up with our family inspires me! You are so passionate and smart- I can't wait to hear more about your little life once you start talking more. You make all of us smile- your hair alone is wild enough to make anyone laugh most moments through out the day. Although the 2's are rough...you are no doubt going to be the best 2 year old yet! ;)
Love,
Mommy

Emily 3.5

Emily is 3 1/2 and absolutely everything a 3 year old should be. Inquisitive, active, and loving life. She is very passionate about life and has a strong sense of independence. She wants to do everything herself and I attempt to give her the freedom when possible. She is very outspoken at home, but outside of our family she is very shy and quiet. She has a best friend who is in her classes at church that she loves to talk and play with, but she never says a word to her teachers! She adores her sisters and misses them when they have to part ways. She makes me smile with her childlike sense of wonder and amazement at the world around her. Her speech and language have grown leaps and bounds over this year and I adore hearing her voice her thoughts and feelings in a much more grown up way:)
Emily likes:
crafts- which could mean a multitude of things- usually involves squeezing crazy amounts of glue, paint, sticky substances all over paper.
playing "school"- I hope she remembers all the 100's of times I have sat in her "class" and played night night time, lunch, and circle time. She is learning to fall into the roll of "teacher" and has Hannah as her most willing pupil most the time, along with their 50,000 baby dolls.
Cooking with me
building with blocks
swinging
putting her princesses in a "circle" or some other organized position
brushing her hair...and everyone else's. She loves to spray the "no tangles" spray and brush for as long as I will let her!
Keeping her hair down
flip flops or as she says "swip swops"
dancing with her sisters
acting like a puppy dog
playing iPad
bathing alone- no sisters.
hearing jewel prince stories that mommy makes up- Caroline enjoys them too at bedtime
swimming with floaties on
the ice cream truck
emily has started praying such sweet, heart-felt prayers...some make sense...and others we are left dumbfounded and trying to interpret, but I have no doubt that she knows what she is saying:) She always begins "thank you God who loves us" :)
Stats:
Em is average in height, seems short compared to sisters:)
Wears size 4t-5t to whatever we have in her dresser drawers! She and Caroline basically where the same clothes now.
Size 10 shoe
She loves her long, curly, wild red hair...such a beauty!

Donuts on a mommy-Emily date- my favorite quote from our date-
Me: Who is your best friend?
E: William
Me: What makes you like William as a best friend?
E: He says eyeball a lot.
Duh mom. Why else would I like him? Isn't it obvious?? :)
Emily and "eyeball":)

Dear Sweet Emily,
You are simply perfect. Your cuteness wins almost everyones heart the moment they see you. Not many people get to see the feisty side of your personality- you save that for mommy:) You and your sisters are best friends and nothing makes my heart happier than hearing you declare your love to your big and little sis. In SO many ways I see myself in you- even at just age 3. The middle child, the introvert, the deep thinker. You have my heart and I adore watching you grow and learn about life. You make our family so special.
Love,
Mommy

Caroline 4.5

Caroline now says she is "four and a half" when asked how old she is. She is so quickly approaching 5 that it is hard for me to swallow sometimes!! She is such a blessing day in and day out- her passion and zest for life are as strong as ever:) She aged out of the Mothers Day out program at our church this year and is now in the 2 day/week preschool class with 9 of her friends. She loves it and will have a blast this year I have no doubt. I will admit- I was a silly, weepy, mess the first day. Although it is absolutely no different (schedule/length of time) as MDO something hit this mamas heart as I watched her bounce energetically into the building with her humongous back pack on, lunch box in hand. I'm watching my sweetie grow up....and this stage that I never imagined being here...is here. And I'm thankful. Thankful that I get to do life with this precious gift from God. She is amazing:)
Caroline likes:
writing her name, first middle and last
sounding out words and writing rhyming sentences
reading her books- she really started reading with little to no help this spring and has truly amazed me.
riding her bike with training wheels
playing ipad games
crafting of any kind
cooking with me
playing school with her sisters
Sophia the First cartoons
wearing comfortable clothes- the clothing wars have begun. She is a very picky dresser. I don't fight that battle very often, so what she picks is what she gets to wear.
making up songs
chewing gum
tickle/wrestle/dance time in the evening with daddy and her sisters
swimming with out floaties (when she can "touch")
visiting/conversating with neighbors and whoever walks by our neighborhood corner
jewelry- necklaces, bracelets, rings
she loves to pray for people who sick/hurting every night at bedtime- we have to go through a long list of people that we can pray for and she chooses one and prays for them.
memorizing scripture- she learns them verbatim...and if i mess it up, it's absolutely unacceptable. she keeps ME in line;)
Stats:
still tall for her age
wears anywhere from size 5t-6/ smalls
size 12 shoes
wants to grow her "orange" hair long, but despises brushing it.

We started gymnastics this fall and she is a natural!

Dear Caroline,
Mommy loves you more than you know. You have become such a sweet friend to me and I enjoy being you parent, but also watching us turn into buddies. You have such a kind, sensitive heart for others. I pray that you stay that way and find BIG ways to serve and love others around you your whole life thru. You amaze me.
Love,
Mommy

Wakefield vacation to the Beach

July Beach trip with my family:) Without Brad:(

State of the Blog

It is September. I haven't posted anything on here since May...and even then, it was just uploading pictures from an app on my phone. So I have devised a plan:) I started this blog when we moved away for our residency...which will be coming to a close this June. :) :) :) My goal was to a) document our lives during the early years of our family and b)share life with our family who just happens to live 600 miles away. I'm going to try and keep this blog going for the remainder of our time here and then I'll probably print it out, make books for the girls, and call it a done deal. I have loved blogging about my girls- but I'm just a little busy trying to live life with them and less concerned about time spent on the computer. And, if we break, crack, or hurt ANOTHER computer in the process, Brad will probably never us a single new object that costs more than $5. So that is the state of our blog:)
