3 Little Monkeys

3 little monkeys jumping in the bed! Thankfully no one fell and bumped their head;) Everyone decided to  greet Hannah after her afternoon nap. These pics may all look the same at first glance...but all of their facial expressions crack me up in each picture- especially Carolines. Oh Hannah...your sisters love you more than you know at this point in your life.

Just a few pics from Georgia...

We had such a good trip home to see both of our families. We loved being in Rome with my parents and Cara, Charlie and my brother Andrew. Then we spend some time in Milledgeville with the Hobbs. The girls traveled great and were troopers the whole time. I have many more pictures on my phone and some that Niki took in Milledgeville...but these were a few sitting on my computer that I thought I would share now.

Emily is 2!!

Oh my goodness. Words cannot say how crazy it is to think about the fact that sweet little Emily is 2 years old!! It seems like only yesterday we welcomed her into our family and into our hearts forever. We have had a busy few weeks but got to celebrate with a fantastic party on Saturday and then all day today as a family. A little bit about my 2 year old sweetie...
-She giggles non-stop
-She has the most endearing smile
-She loves books, pretend cooking, and conversating
-She is usuing a lot of 2 word phrases and is naming EVERYTHING. She loves to walk around the house and ask "What's that? What's this?" I know her speech is rapidly developing before our very eyes. I'm going to cherish her jibber jabber as much as I can. Her little voice is so soft and sweet...until something sets her off...and then the 2 year old temper sets in.
-She loves her sisters and always asks where they are
-She loves cows, farm animals in general really, Baby Eintstein and The Wiggles.
-She loves to try on shoes
-She enjoys being silly and making anyone who will watch laugh
-She wants to be held a lot lately...she will say "Hold you!" just like big sis used to.
-She is a little shy when it comes to strangers...she will turn away from anyone that isn't familiar and hide her face. It doesn't take long for her to warm up though.
-She has started giving Caroline a run for her money- no more giving in to big sis all the time...she is standing her ground much more:)
-She will happily repeat any word, phrase, or song to you (whether it is recognizable is debatable)
-She enjoys playing "solo" in the midst of a crowd, but at home is happy tandem her big sister
-She has a silly giggle right now- a quiet, low giggle
-She likes to talk about the potty and we have pulled out the training one...but no success to speak of yet. I'm in NO rush. Whenever she is ready, we'll climb that mountain.
-We go to the doctor for her 2 year visit tomorrow morning and will find out her stats. She is wearing size 6 diapers, size 8 shoes, and 2t-3t clothes.
-She always makes sure she has her green teddy bear lovey with her at all times and would choose to keep her passy...but I have been slowly keeping it away and now that she is 2 it will stay in her bed for use only during naps and bedtime. Hope that transition goes well!

She is such a JOY to have in our family. I am so blessed to have my 3 girls...and I am constantly amazed at how quickly time is flying. My sweet middle is already 2!! She has a special place in my heart as a middle child because I am a middle child myself. I can't wait to see her grow, develop, and learn so much in the year ahead of her. 2 is a magical age- full of crazy tantrums and battles of willpower...but full of sweet innocence and exploration of the world around them.

Em- we love you with all of our hearts. You make us smile and giggle almost every minute of the day. You are so stinking cute with your ringlet curls and big beautiful eyes. I am so helplessly in love with your little self, I can't imagine how much more my love will grow for you this next year. I'm so proud to call you MINE. Thank you Lord for giving me my sweet Emily to love and be loved by and to teach and be taught by. I'm so blessed.

Picture time!

This has been a pretty ordinary week for us, no big events so far.

Emily showed her skilled finger coordination and locking us all out of the house on Monday. My heart didn't race NEARLY as fast as it did when Caroline did this to me about a year ago...you can read about Caroline's attempt. Sweet E was playing back and forth on the porch going in and out of our door as we visited outside with our sweet friends. Next thing I know she is banging on the door (a clear storm door) wanting to get out. A bit of panic sets in. I try to get her to unlock the lock- not happening. She just gets more frustrated. My sweet friend Jill stands watch over Caroline as I scurry across the street with Hannah in tow to ask my neighbors for their assistance. They call the police chief, Peter, and he comes to our rescue in probably 2 minutes flat. Proceeds to unscrew a few bolts on our door, reach in and flip the lock. PRAISE THE LORD we live in a Mayberry neighborhood where this is the norm...and they love and accept us here regardless of our shanagins. They all laughed about our "typical" Hobbs afternoon. It is kind of funny. Thankfully Caroline had decided to put pants on a few minutes before the lock out. She came outside to visit with friends in a long sleeved t shirt, panties, and her huge pink Dora tennis shoes (on the wrong feet of course!). Hilarious. I encouraged her to find some pants and she obliged us.  Always a laugh at our home.

We are getting ready for a trip to Georgia...we leave Friday morning and will be gone 2 weeks. I'm going with the girls for the first week then Brad will join us the 2nd week. Fun times are SURE to be ahead. Aunt Niki is going to fly to Memphis, hop in the van with us girls, and be my co-pilot for the trip. I'm so thankful for that...otherwise this trip wouldn't be happening! We will break the trip up and spend a night in Nashville with my BFF Kristina and her family. Then to the grandparents we go. We can't wait.

So I may not get to the blogging for quite awhile but I can promise lots of pictures will be taken. Here are some pics that I had on the computer that I have not shared...no real importance, just my sweeties.

 Yes, she is still swaddled. How long do you swaddle, you ask? Until they are 16.

 It doesn't get much more sweet than my gorgeous 3 month old Hannah baby.

 Oh beautiful Emily...those locks. I think we have a lot of taming in store in the years ahead. I am in utter love with your curls though. Proof of a good nap is always in the hair.

 Such a fabulous big sister. She loves her littles more than you can imagine.

 I've been doing a little crafting in my spare time...HA! Not really spare time, but when I get a few moments. I've sold some, given some as gifts, and enjoyed them myself. If you are interested in buying one please message me and I'll get one to you:)

 I think I need to keep this banner up all year...it makes me smile and reminds me what true love is...in the midst of our crazy whirlwind.

 Emily loves cows. She eat, sleeps, and dreams in cow. That is why I am in the process of planning her cow birthday party. Be UTTER-ly excited! :)

And there you go! Happy February...I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad January is over. It was a tough month. And February is such a happy month- lots of birthdays, Valentines Day, and chocolate! Woohoo!

I am so blessed...and I cannot wait until #3 joins in the fun. I often get asked if they are twins...despite OBVIOUS differences, of course they are not...but as close as you can get to it :) *Note: As fabulous as it is to have them side by side all day long it also creates a lot of "sharing" battles that must be solved. My official job title may as well change to referee. But I have the joy of teaching them the correct way in playing together and it makes my heart smile when I see them doing it the right way. This is a video..but you cannot see anything. Just recorded the sound of the 2 girls being silly at bedtime. Emily is a ham...she LOVES to make her big sister laugh. And laugh she did! Caroline is tripping out at Em who is apparently "booty dancing" in her crib across the room and is saying "Do it again!!" Right now I let them play as long as they don't get too rowdy. I imagine one day I will have to go in and regulate...but right now their giggles are music to this mamas soul.
