Caroline's Sesame Street 2nd Birthday Party!!

I finally got some birthday party pictures up! A big thanks to Niki for taking the pictures and capturing our day perfectly! The weather was perfect for the party held outside in our front yard. Caroline had been waiting A LONG time for this party to actually come about- I have been telling her all the details for several months and I must say, she enjoyed every last thing about her special day. The music was by FAR her favorite thought. She spent most the time dancing in front of the CD player to her favorite Sesame Street hits. So, if you didn't make it...we missed you! But here are some pictures to re-live the fun filled day!

Notice the blue sucker in the picture below...it was the first object Caroline ran for and she held onto it for the majority of her party. Note to parents- blue suckers do not make very pretty pictures....blue lips look a little creepy. But she loved it! I let her dig into those huge lollipops after the fun was all over.

A BIG thank you to all our wonderful families for helping us with the birthday party. We were SO glad you were here to enjoy Caroline's special day with us.

A little leaf-jumping...with cookies in our mouth of course! Better than the sucker I guess :)

When the sun went down and it cooled off we headed inside to do presents. Caroline was full of her usual excitement! We had hot cider and played inside with her new toys until everyone was tuckered out.

Clean up crew outside after the festivites.

The rest of the week was full of fun with the grandparents. Trips to the park, The Wonderplace, Chuck E. Cheese....it was truly a fun full week of tons to be thankful for. Poor Emily was sick most of the time but still enjoyed seeing everyone.

We decorated for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. The girls were a great help....well, maybe not, but they enjoyed seeing all the new things. We are so thankful that we have Emily this Christmas! :)

Ben and Sarah gave the girls the Little People Nativy set for Christmas. CGH has loved playing with it for countless hours. One night I was loving on her and asked her, "Are you my little angel?" and she replied, "Shepherd!" So now we have a running joke where I ask if she's my angel, she says no, then we giggle about her being a shepherd. She is my precious "Little Shepherd".
